NEWS: Capitals Joel Ward Scores Game 7 Overtime Winner – Bruins Fans Unleash N-Word Barrage on Twitter! [TekniqueTheKingpin*com]

The NHL is the least racially integrated of the four major American sports. If you need proof of this, you just need to see the reaction on Twitter as Washington Capitals Winger Joel Ward scored the game winning goal in overtime to oust the defending champion Boston Bruins.

Chirpstory.com collects Tweets on trending topics to tell a story with only the tweets. The story these tweets tell is that there is a whole hell of a lot of racist Boston Bruins fans. Of course this is not representative of Boston fans or of hockey fans in general, but it is scary that these people so easily put their racist feelings out there.

Here is a sample of the tweets. Whats worse is there are more:

Did someone say racism is a thing of the past?

HIP HOP CLASSIC VIDEO: Junior M.A.F.I.A. Featuring The Notorious B.I.G. – “Get Money” (1995) [TekniqueTheKingpin*com]

Junior M.A.F.I.A. was an American hip hop group from Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, New York. The acronym M.A.F.I.A. stands for Masters At Finding Intelligent Attitudes. They were formed and mentored by New York rapper The Notorious B.I.G. in the early 1990s and released their debut album, Conspiracy in 1995. The success of the group’s singles, “Player’s Anthem” (US #13) and “Get Money” (US #17) helped launch the career of Lil’ Kim as a solo artist. The group became defunct in 1997 following the death of The Notorious B.I.G. In 2005 and 2006, three of the original members released the album Riot Musik and two DVDs under the Junior M.A.F.I.A. name.

“Get Money” became the group’s biggest hit, peaking at 17 on the Billboard 100 and was certified platinum by the RIAA on July 9, 1996 for sales of over 1 million copies. It ranked 89th in Billboard’s Top Hot 100 Hits of 1996, reached 17th in the Hot 100 and number 1 for Hot Rap Singles

NEWS: Nas Album Set For July Release! [TekniqueTheKingpin*com]

You never know what you’re going to get with Nas, perhaps hip-hop’s most inconsistent genius.

Will he deliver an album filled with trenchant insights into race, struggle and the dehumanizing mechanics of the music industry? Or will he do an album where he grumbles about new rap trends and then brags about his wealth over ill-fitting glossy Diddy beats? But the man made Illmatic, so he gets a million chances to get it right.

But regardless of the quality of the actual album, Nas almost always leads with a hot single, and he’s recently had two: “Nasty” and “The Don”, the latter featuring production from the late Heavy D as well as well as Da Internz and Salaam Remi.

Both singles found Nas sounding engaged and nimble atop classic-sounding New York boom-bap production. So, here’s hoping his new album Life Is Good, which will officially be out July 17 via Def Jam, lives up to the anticipation.

The exact tracklist is not yet available, but we do know that the third single, “Daughters,” will drop in early May, and will feature beats from the always-reliable No-I.D. Additionally, a video for “The Don” will premiere this Friday.

NEWS: Former Bad Boy Rapper Made Owes $124K In Back Taxes! [TekniqueTheKingpin*com]

Former Bad Ma$e is making reports with $120,000 in back taxes dating back over ten years ago.

According to reports, rapper-turned-pastor’s woes are in relation the state Florida.

Is Diddy’s former protege Ma$e caught up on his income tax payments? Eh-Eh, Eh-Eh. According to documents filed 124,774.85 in back taxes … stemming from the years 2000, 2001 and 2004. Perhaps not coincidentally, Ma$e retired from the music business in 1999 after saying he got a “calling from God.” After a turn with the ministry, Ma$e returned with an album in (you guessed it) 2004. (TMZ)

Last reports bubbled online claiming Ma$e be making a move rap star Rick Ross.

According to a reliable source within the Maybach Music Group camp pieces are falling into place. “Yes, I think its safe to say Omarion is MMG.” As the Maybach Music empire continues to evolve it may not end there. Seems as if there is another offer on the table, “I don’t want to let no cats out the bag but we’ll see what’s good with Ma$e.” When pressed about what the roster may look like in the upcoming months, “As far as newest members Omarion and shout out to Ma$e if he wants to get down with this movement then we’ll see what happens.” (The Source)

Earlier the same week, Bad Boy’s French Montana revealed a studio session he had with Ma$e and Ross.

“We were in a Miami studio last night and Ma$e just stopped by,” Montana exclusively told XXL. “We were just workin’ on my album. We recorded two songs together–me, Ross and Ma$e. You might hear [Ma$e] on either my album [Excuse My French] or Ross’ [God Forgives, I Don't] or both.” Although the current 2012 XXL Freshman wouldn’t divulge any further details on the songs, he did mention that Ma$e is sounding pretty sharp and this collaboration with himself, Rozay and the former Bad Boy has been in the works. “We been planning it,” French said. “Ma$e sounds good, sound like he never left. His flow is crazy. We’re going to let the world hear soon enough. Stay tuned. Just stay tuned.” (XXL Mag)

R&B singer Omarion tweeted a photo of himself and Mase a couple days prior.

“Ma$e &…..hell yeaaaa you already know.” he tweeted April 16th. (Omarion’s Twitter)

Karrueche got the stamp of approval from Team Breezy in Australia.

Chris Brown has been Down Under touring for the past week and a half and his fans seem to love his girlfriend. One fan site tweeted about how much of an angel Karrueche was.

Karrueche and Breezy also shared an intimate kiss with the world. In a romantic display, the couple locked lips as the sun set in Australia.

Karrueche simply tweeted: “head over heels”

Sometimes less is more and luckily for Karrueche, Chris’s new nose ring didn’t get in the way.

The couple is having the time of their life. Judging my Breezy’s latest tweet, “I love you Australia!!!!! Shopping today was crazy!” He’s extremely at home there.

HIP HOP CLASSIC VIDEO: Dr. Dre – “Let Me Ride” (1992) [TekniqueTheKingpin*com]

Andre Romelle Young (born February 18, 1965), better known by his stage name Dr. Dre, is an American rapper, record producer, record executive, entrepreneur, and occasional actor. He is the founder and current CEO of Aftermath Entertainment and a former co-owner and artist of Death Row Records. He has produced albums for and overseen the careers of many rappers, including Snoop Dogg, Eminem and 50 Cent. As a producer he is credited as a key figure in the popularization of West Coast G-funk, a style of rap music characterized as synthesizer-based with slow, heavy beats.

Dr. Dre has stated that he is a perfectionist and is known to pressure the artists with whom he records to give flawless performances. In 2006 Snoop Dogg told the website Dubcnn.com that Dr. Dre had made new artist Bishop Lamont re-record a single bar of vocals 107 times. Dr. Dre has also stated that Eminem is a fellow perfectionist, and attributes his success on Aftermath to his similar work ethic. He gives a lot of input into the delivery of the vocals and will stop an MC during a take if it isn’t to his liking. However, he does give MCs he works with room to write lyrics without too much instruction unless it is a specifically conceptual record, as noted by Bishop Lamont in the book How to Rap.

A consequence of his perfectionism is that some artists that initially sign deals with Dr. Dre’s Aftermath label never release albums. In 2001, Aftermath released the soundtrack to the movie The Wash, featuring a number of Aftermath acts such as Shaunta, Daks, Joe Beast and Toi. To date, none have released full-length albums on Aftermath and have apparently ended their relationships with the label and Dr. Dre. Other noteworthy acts to leave Aftermath without releasing albums include King Tee, 2001 vocalist Hittman, Joell Ortiz, Raekwon and Rakim.

Being a perfectionist can be both a Gift & Curse. The end result however for artists that stuck it out is success. Take in this classic and you will understand…Oh did I mention this track was nominated for a grammy in 1992?

OPINION: Delonte West Is The “Realest” Dude In The NBA! [TekniqueTheKingpin*com]

Keeping it real: Not being fake or influenced. Being true to yourself and your values, but more importantly, being true to innate values that all people acknowledge as respectable.

A lot of people profess that they are “keeping it real”, but over the last few years one man in particular in my opinon has been too real: Delonte West

Delonte Maurice West (born July 26, 1983, in Washington, D.C.) is an American professional basketball player for the Dallas Mavericks of the NBA.

Now when you think NBA, what comes to mind? Tall, Highly skilled & paid athletes who live a lavish lifestyle away from the court. The aforementioned doesn’t not describe Delonte. In no particular order here are some recent “Keepin it real” scenarios and situations involving Mr West

  •  Rolling like a “Desparado”: On September 17, 2009 West was pulled over for a traffic violation while riding a 3-wheeled motorcycle. During this stop it was found that West had a 9mm Beretta pistol, .357 Magnum and a Remington 870 in a guitar case. He was arrested and had a court appearance on November 20. His trial was scheduled to be heard on February 18, 2010, but was postponed until July 21, 2010. West pleaded guilty to the traffic and weapons charges and was sentenced to electronic monitoring, unsupervised probation, and 40 hours of community service as well as psychological counseling.
  • Avoiding the “Hoes”: In 2006, Police were called to Delonte West’s hotel room in Orlando because model Vanessa Lopez refused to leave.  West did admit to having a sexual relationship with her in the past, but those were not his intentions that night. Lopez has been linked to dozens of celebrities and NBA stars
  • Driving a dated whip: West was driving a white ’94 Ford Bronco — like the one from the O.J. Simpson chase — and had to push it to a gas station because it broke down. In addition he tweeted “Broke down in the ATM line.. 25 cars behind me and I already reached my daily limit… I’m broke n my cars broke.. Where’s my therapist???”
  • Working no matter what: During the lockout, West tweeted “Its official…..pride to the side…just filled out an application at home depot….lockout aint a game” He eventually got a job at Regency Furniture Showrooms, a furniture chain in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C.  On his application, West checked “Yes” when asked if he had ever been convicted of a crime. For the explanation, West simply answered with, “Misunderstanding.”
  • Lebrons Mom: I’m not touching this one
  • Let’s take this to the back: Delonte West and Von Wafer engaged in fisticuffs in the celtics locker room.
  • Losing That Comcast Cable:  After being fined $25,000 for fingering Gordon Hayward ‘s ear Delonte said: “I didn’t think it was going to be that steep,” West said before Wednesday’s game against Houston. “That’s a whole month’s check for me. I probably won’t have cable in a couple days.”
  • Banned from the White House: In keeping with American sports tradition, the champions from all four of the major sports leagues pay a visit to the Presidential Mansion. Delonte stated he was “banned” from making the visit because of his criminal past. He was allowed to attend with his Dallas Mavericks teammates as the Secret Service said he was cleared to visit.

Maybe some of these stories have been fabricated or not even true. Who knows but only the Lord himself….But in my opinion Delonte West gets my nod for “The “Realest” Dude In The NBA.

NEWS: Rapper G. Dep Convicted In 1993 Cold Case Murder! [TekniqueTheKingpin*com]

Rapper G. Dep was convicted Tuesday in a 1993 murder to which he suddenly confessed in 2010, stunning police.

Born Trevell Coleman, G. Dep, 37, faces at least 15 years in prison at his sentencing, set for May 8.

The rapper, a married father who flirted with fame in the late 1990s and early 2000s as a member of Sean Combs’ roster, reopened the cold case murder of John Henkel when he walked into a New York police precinct to say he’d fired at someone on a Harlem street corner when he was about 17 to 19.

G. Dep had apparently been wrestling with his conscience for some time. His life spiraled into disarray with a slate of arrests on drug, trespassing and other charges. He had finished a drug-treatment program and had released a new album online in the months before he came clean.

“I couldn’t move on and keep trying to satisfy myself if I didn’t deal with that,” he told the hip hop magazine XXL in a jailhouse interview published in June. ” … I didn’t know what was going to be the outcome, but that was the only way I knew to deal with it.”

The victim had grabbed the rapper’s .40-caliber gun, and he pulled it back and fired at the man three times, G. Dep told authorities in a recorded statement played during his trial. After the gunfire, he said, he rode off on a bicycle, unsure whether the man had been struck. G. Dep didn’t testify at trial.

Authorities paired his account with the 1993 death of Henkel, 32. Henkel was shot three times with a .40-caliber gun at the same corner in October 1993, when G. Dep was nearing his 19th birthday.

“The more you study the evidence, you’ll see it just matches up too greatly for coincidence,” Assistant District Attorney David Drucker said in an opening statement.

But G.Dep’s attorney Anthony Ricco questioned whether police had made the right match. He noted discrepancies between G. Dep’s statement and Henkel’s shooting – including that the rapper said he thought the shooting happened in February or March, rather than the fall, and described the victim as blond and clean-shaven when Henkel had brown hair and wore facial hair.

The rapper, he said, has no way of knowing for certain whether Henkel was indeed the man he shot. He ultimately filled in some of the details from information police gave him, the lawyer said.

G. Dep turned down an offer to plead guilty in exchange for a guaranteed 15-years-to-life sentence that is now the minimum he faces, Ricco said.

Regardless, he remains convinced he did the right thing by coming forward, said Ricco.

“He has a conscience and a heart, and his conscience and his heart brought him to where he is today,” Ricco said after court. “He’s probably making the most powerful statement a rapper of his era can make, which is to be accountable and to do the right thing.”

G. Dep’s wife and mother wept after hearing the verdict and his relatives are heartbroken and torn about his decision to speak up, Ricco said.

Henkel’s relatives didn’t testify at the trial. But one of his brothers followed it through news accounts.

“I’m thankful that the justice system worked for this, for my brother’s benefit and my family,” Werner Henkel said by phone after hearing of the verdict.

NEWS: Mobb Deep Sits Courtside at Knicks Game, Seemingly Squashing Beef [TekniqueTheKingpin*com]

Mobb Deep made an appearance together, sitting courtside for the New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden on Friday night (April 13) and perhaps more importantly squashing any reports of the duo breaking up. Prodigy tweeted out this picture (left) of the group sitting side-by-side together to watch the Knicks, whose bench players have coincidentally adopted the nickname Mobb Deep.

For now, the shot seemingly ends reported beef between the rap duo.

On Monday (April 9), a day after the Easter holiday, rap fans were shocked to see Havoc air out his longtime partner in rhyme, Prodigy, via twitter.

“Prodigy a bitch  and I’m gonna show it, follow!!” Hav began his barrage of tweets with. “I got niggas in the jail system to back up that prodigy was fuckin homies in jail”…Prodigy prove me wrong! Please” … Prodigy u pussy! U long island ass bitch. I’m about to expose u!”

But by the same night, the rapper/producer was singing a different tune, telling fans that he left his phone at a gas station and the rant didn’t come from him.

“Just getting back into NY after my Easter weekend with family and friends in Jersey,” Havoc responded via a written statement. “I left my phone at a gas station yesterday evening while on my way to Jersey after a glorious Knicks game. To all Mobb Deep fans; it’s business as usual! It’s Mobb Deep all day!!! My twitter account @THEREALHAVOC will be down until further notice. The only other real account is @PRODIGYMOBBDEEP. Ignore the rest. One!”

Tuesday morning (April 10), Havoc further tried to squash reports of M-O-B-B’s falling out by calling up New York radio station Power 105.1′s The Breakfast Club morning show.

“This got me rolling on the floor right now,” he said on air. “I lost my phone yesterday at the Knicks game. I put a statement out. I didn’t hear about none of it until the afternoon.”

Mobb Deep haven’t put out an album since Blood Money in 2006
